Windows Installer Appears Every Time a Program is Started

Whenever you access any application in your Windows XP/2000/2003 system, the Windows Installer appears and runs its setup program.
This problem can occur if you ran the setup program and it failed to install. The Windows Installer configuration information can become mismatched with what it believes to be installed and what is actually installed on the system. There is a Windows Installer Cleanup Utility that you can use to resolve this issue. When you run the utility, it provides you a dialog box that shows what is currently installed on the system. Select the program that you know is not installed and click Remove.
The utility can be downloaded from Microsoft’s website .
